We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) at construction sites.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is performed according to design specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other site teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist in preparing project schedules and timelines, ensuring MEP activities are aligned with the overall project plan.
- Monitor and report progress on site, identifying potential delays or issues and proposing corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation of site activities, including daily reports, inspection logs, and material usage.
- Review mechanical design drawings and specifications to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on installation methods and materials to optimize performance and ensure longevity of the systems.Identify and resolve design and construction conflicts related to MEP systems.
- Ensure that all MEP works are carried out to the highest standards of quality and comply with relevant codes and regulations.
- Perform quality control checks and inspections to verify adherence to design plans and specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols on site, ensuring that all personnel adhere to safety standards during MEP installation and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and health and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all mechanical systems integrate seamlessly into the overall building design.
- Attend coordination meetings with clients, contractors, and project teams to discuss project progress and address any challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in MEP site projects, preferably in large-scale commercial or residential projects.
