As a Mechanical Supervisor specializing in MEP, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations within construction projects. Your role involves managing a team, ensuring the proper installation of MEP systems, and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet project goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the MEP team, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing technicians.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's performance meets project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop MEP project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with other construction disciplines to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with overall project requirements.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures for MEP installations.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues affecting system performance.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address design changes and resolve any conflicts.
- Participate in coordination meetings to ensure alignment between MEP systems and other construction elements.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring that all MEP activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct safety training sessions for the MEP team.
- Maintain accurate records of MEP installations, inspections, and testing.
- Generate reports on the progress of MEP activities, highlighting achievements and addressing any challenges.
- Assist in the development and management of budgets related to MEP installations.
- Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
Qualification & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor with a focus on MEP systems.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and installations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Professional certifications in relevant MEP areas.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Familiarity with MEP-related software and tools.
