About the Role:

The data scientist will develop actionable, data-driven insights through research and analysis of data sources and development of statistical, mathematical and predictive analyses as a member of the Population Health staff.

This individual will take large amounts of data points (structured and unstructured) and use their skills in math, statistics and programming to clean, massage and organize them that are relevant to Population Health, Care Management, and Practice Transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understands all phases of the analytic process including data collection, preparation, modeling, evaluation and deployment
  • Extract huge volumes of data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Thoroughly clean and prune data to discard irrelevant information
  • Communicate predictions and findings to senior management and through effective data visualizations, reports, software applications
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, standards and practices
  • Prepare trend reports on weekly and monthly basis to drive key business decisions
  • Prepare Power Point presentations
  • Other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by the reporting manager

Qualification: 

Candidates will need a bachelor’s or master’s degree and 2-5 years of analytics work-related experiences

Experience:

·         4-5 years of experience regarding data analysis and business reports

·         Proven ability to document business requirements

·         Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.) 

·         Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (use of macro’s, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

·         Math (e.g. linear algebra, calculus and probability)

·         Statistics (e.g. hypothesis testing and summary statistics)

·         Must be able to work with minimal direction and be very flexible to coordinate complex activities that are often subject to rapid or extensive changes

·         Must have good communication and presentation skills

Healthcare experience is desired

Other Requirements:   Must be willing to work during US operational hours (9:00 am CST – 6:00 pm CST)
