Press Operator

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring press machines used in engineering and manufacturing processes. This role requires hands-on experience with press machines, sheet metal work, fabrication, or mechanical production. The candidate must be able to maintain safety standards while ensuring production quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate press machines in accordance with production requirements and work instructions.
- Set up materials, dies, and components for production runs.
- Ensure production accuracy and consistency by following drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Inspect finished parts for correct dimensions, defects, and overall quality.
- Conduct basic machine checks and promptly report any breakdowns or abnormalities.
- Adhere to production schedules and meet assigned output targets.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and rejected parts.
- Follow all machine safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and workplace safety protocols.
- Keep the machine area and workspace clean and organized.
- Collaborate effectively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Tool & Die teams as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Matriculation, Technical qualification, or Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Press Operator, Machine Operator, or Production Operator in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic press machines is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, measurements, tools, dies, and production processes.
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and measuring tapes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work overtime or shifts as required.
