Responsibilities:
- Proficient in administering major relational database management systems (RDBMS), Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage database solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Extensive experience in database development, including hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and PowerShell scripting.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing robust and scalable database solutions.
- Strong background in data engineering, encompassing the design and development of data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflow automation.
- Skilled in leveraging cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, for building scalable and reliable data solutions.
- Proactively tuning and optimizing database performance, investigating and resolving performance issues, and implementing best practices for indexing and query optimization.
- Applying a deep understanding of database security principles and best practices.
- Implementing and maintaining security measures to meet industry compliance standards such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database services, including Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, and Google Cloud SQL.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex database solutions.
- Manage database administration tasks, including backups, restores, and monitoring.
- Develop and optimize code for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines for efficient and scalable data processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data models with business requirements.
- Proactively tune and optimize database performance, ensuring seamless data retrieval.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data.
- Utilize scripting languages for automation tasks, including SQL, Python, and PowerShell.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in database administration, development, and data engineering.
- Utilize advanced SQL skills for crafting complex queries, optimizing database performance, and ensuring seamless data retrieval.
- Apply strong understanding of DAX language for custom calculations and aggregations in Power BI and SQL Server Analysis Services.
- Supervise, monitor and take initiative/measures related to information security or ISO 27001.
Requirements:
- 6 years working experience on the same role preferably in same industry with a total of 8-10 years’ experience.
- Create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge
- Expertise in Database Administration
- Expertise in data transformation services
- Developing reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision-making
- Conducting troubleshooting on BI models
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
