Patient Support Specialist - Ophthalmology

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting patients via phone calls, emails, and chat to facilitate their appointment scheduling and rescheduling needs.

Responsibilities:

Assist patients in scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments over the phone, via email, and through chat services.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Maintain patient records and appointment schedules in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
Verify patient insurance information and eligibility, as needed.
Educate patients on appointment procedures, required documentation, and any pre-appointment instructions.
Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and data protection regulations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in US-based customer support, patient support, or a related role.
Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Strong english communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
