System Support Engineer/Noc

Prime Broadband is seeking a skilled System Support Engineer/Noc to join our dynamic team, overseeing and maintaining network and system operations. The successful candidate will lead a team of five, ensuring the stability and optimal performance of network infrastructures through proactive monitoring and prompt troubleshooting. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in network diagnostics and Linux/Unix system troubleshooting to empower the team and deliver high-quality support services. The engineer will be responsible for addressing network faults, managing VLAN configurations, Ethernet switching, and utilizing tools such as Ping and Traceroute for network diagnostics. Beyond technical expertise, the role demands leadership and coordination capabilities to manage work assignments and ensure smooth workflow within the team, aligning with Prime Broadband's mission of providing reliable broadband services.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of five system support engineers to ensure efficient network operations and incident resolution.
Monitor network performance continuously using advanced network monitoring tools to detect and address issues proactively.
Troubleshoot complex network and Linux/Unix system problems to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
Perform network diagnostics including the use of Ping and Traceroute to isolate faults and verify network connectivity.
Configure and maintain Layer 2 network components, including VLANs and Ethernet switches to optimize network traffic flow.
Implement and maintain Cisco IOS configurations to support network routing and switching requirements.
Develop and update troubleshooting procedures and documentation to maintain a high standard of operations.
Collaborate with other IT teams and external vendors to coordinate network maintenance and upgrades.
Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and Prime Broadbands policies regarding network security and data privacy.
