Key Responsibilities
Lead a squad of engineers, owning the delivery and quality of your product area while remaining hands-on with coding. Collaborate closely with Product teams to clarify ambiguous problems and translate them into actionable solutions. Make critical technical decisions and tackle challenging tasks directly, setting a high standard for the team. Build and enhance AI agents that operate reliably in real-world customer workflows, focusing on production behavior, learning from failures, and driving continuous improvement. Establish rigorous practices for testing, evaluation, observability, and production ownership. Mentor engineers through code reviews, feedback, and daily technical guidance. Utilize AI coding tools effectively in your own work and help the team leverage these tools to boost productivity.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years of software development experience, including leadership roles as a tech lead or engineering manager. Strong hands-on engineering skills with a passion for writing code and solving complex technical problems. Proven experience across backend services, APIs, databases, and user-facing products. Demonstrated success in shipping large language model (LLM) or AI agent features to customers and iterating based on production insights. Sound architectural judgment with an emphasis on reliability and pragmatic simplicity. Experience in mentoring engineers and taking accountability for team outcomes. Practical knowledge of AI coding tools, understanding their strengths and limitations in software development.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While not mandatory, experience with TypeScript/Node.js, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, event-driven systems, or cloud infrastructure is advantageous, though equivalent experience is welcomed.
