Principal Software Engineer - Frontend

Dubizzle Labs is looking for a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer specializing in frontend development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers, Tech Team Leads, QA, and design teams to build and enhance our frontend applications. You will be instrumental in evolving our technology stack and ensuring our platform scales efficiently as our user base expands.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from initial design to production issue resolution.
- Support a diverse portfolio of products with a focus on automation, performance, availability, and reliability.
- Drive innovation and contribute to the continuous improvement of our industry-leading platform.
- Develop elegant and efficient solutions for complex problems while writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices.
- Acquire a deep understanding of the product architecture and clearly communicate the role and position of your product stream within it.
- Mentor and guide peers through pair programming and knowledge sharing to foster team growth and technical excellence.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional experience working with JavaScript and frontend technologies.
- Proven expertise in React, with a minimum of 6 years in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency with state management libraries such as Redux.
- Experience in optimizing and profiling React applications to enhance performance.
- Familiarity with build tools like Webpack and package managers including Yarn and NPM.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

- Knowledge of Server Side Rendering (SSR) with React is considered a plus.
