Principle Engineer

The Principal Engineer will play a critical role in the digital transformation team, contributing to the growth and evolution of a $2 billion company through cutting-edge technology and collaborative innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and implementation strategy for the Zones Digital Platform, ensuring scalable and enterprise-ready SaaS solutions.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineering management, program management, and product line management to guide interdisciplinary team designs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in software and systems architecture within assigned technical areas.
- Develop and document component and subsystem specifications and material requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and other technical personnel.
- Coordinate and communicate technical activities and progress with management and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and team members as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Over 10 years of progressive engineering experience with at least 5 years as a principal software engineer supporting enterprise software.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with e-commerce or payment systems.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in developing microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong background in design, build, and deployment systems for complex projects.
- Proficient programming skills in C/C++, Java, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies and principles.

The role is based on Pakistan Standard Time with working hours from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
