Pro Tax Plus Accountants is seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant to join our team on a fully remote basis, working from anywhere in Pakistan. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing UK accountancy practice, focusing on UK companies and sole traders. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing limited company accounts, sole trader and subcontractor accounts, processing payrolls, preparing VAT returns, and maintaining accurate financial records using Excel and specialized taxation software. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate professionally with clients through various channels are essential. The position requires at least two years of relevant experience working with UK accounting and payroll systems, including familiarity with software such as TaxCalc, IRIS, and BrightPay. The role involves handling a wide range of accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, management accounts preparation, tax computations, and returns while meeting deadlines independently. We offer training to candidates who may need to enhance their knowledge on UK payroll legislation, VAT returns, accounting procedures, and internal systems, fostering ongoing professional development in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities

Prepare limited company accounts and financial statements in accordance with UK accounting standards.
Prepare accounts for sole traders and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Process weekly and monthly payrolls using BrightPay or equivalent payroll software.
Prepare and submit VAT returns timely and accurately.
Maintain accurate working papers and financial models using Microsoft Excel.
Assist with bookkeeping and other general accounting duties as required.
Prepare UK Corporation Tax computations and submit self-assessment tax returns.
Generate management accounts, particularly monthly profit and loss reports for clients in the takeaway or similar sectors.
Use UK taxation software such as TaxCalc and IRIS to submit accounts and tax returns.
Communicate professionally with clients via email, telephone, and online meetings, providing timely updates and resolving queries.
Work independently to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively within a remote work setting.
Participate in training programs to stay current with UK payroll legislation, VAT compliance, and accounting best practices.
Support the development and refinement of internal systems and processes to improve service delivery and efficiency.
