We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience in design and project engineering within the oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or fertilizer industries. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support facility development and plant upgrade projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support facility development and plant upgrade initiatives from conception through completion.
- Develop, review, and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), equipment specifications, and data sheets.
- Prepare detailed process descriptions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide operations and maintenance.
- Develop Cause & Effect (C&E) charts and sheets to support process safety and control systems.
- Actively participate in HAZOP, SIL, and other process safety studies to identify and mitigate risks.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulation studies using industry-standard software and calculation tools.
- Interpret and ensure adherence to relevant international codes and standards applicable to the projects.
- Conduct field visits for data collection, site surveys, and verification of as-built conditions.
- Review vendor documentation and technical bids, providing technical assistance during procurement processes.
- Provide both on-site and remote engineering support during construction and commissioning phases to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of design and project engineering experience within the oil & gas, petroleum refining, petrochemical, or fertilizer sectors.
Preferred Qualifications and Technical Expertise:
- Proven proficiency in developing and interpreting P&IDs, piping, and plant engineering documentation.
- Strong background in preparing process equipment specifications and instrument/equipment data sheets.
- Working knowledge of international codes and standards relevant to onshore upstream oil & gas facilities.
- Completion of relevant professional training courses and certifications is highly desirable.
