Product Designer

We are seeking a passionate Product Designer to champion the needs of our learners and help shape the experience of millions of developers using Educative. You will collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to create solutions that enhance usability and engagement, ensuring our platform remains accessible and valuable to users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

- Advocate for an exceptional customer experience by continuously improving the usefulness, enjoyment, and accessibility of our products.
- Identify and analyze customer pain points, translating insights into actionable design improvements.
- Collaborate with product managers to align on customer feedback and product roadmap priorities, then partner with engineering teams to implement design solutions.
- Define design requirements informed by internal stakeholder input and user research findings.
- Develop concepts, wireframes, and high-quality prototypes, iterating through testing and experimentation to refine designs.
- Present and justify design decisions to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, fostering alignment and support.
- Work within and contribute to the evolution of our existing design system, pushing boundaries to elevate design quality.
- Introduce innovative ideas that enhance the overall design standards and user experience at Educative.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Product Designer, preferably with complex or enterprise-level software products.
- Formal education in Visual Communication Design (VCD), User Experience (UX), Fine Arts, Interaction Design, Computer Science with a focus on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong familiarity with UX research methodologies and the ability to gather and interpret both qualitative and quantitative user feedback.
- Demonstrated proficiency across the full design lifecycle, including user research, copywriting, wireframing, prototyping, visual and interaction design, and usability testing.
- Exceptional visual design skills with the ability to mentor and support fellow designers.
- A diverse portfolio showcasing deep expertise in interaction and visual design.
- Excellent collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across multiple functions.
- Creative problem-solving mindset with a continuous drive to improve processes and outcomes.
- Outstanding documentation, presentation, and communication abilities, able to clearly articulate design vision and rationale to various audiences, from peers to executives.
