The Product Engineer at KnowledgeCity is a highly autonomous role responsible for full-lifecycle product delivery within an AI-native environment. This position entails end-to-end ownership of an assigned product domain, covering discovery, specification, engineering, quality assurance, deployment, documentation, and ongoing improvement. Unlike traditional roles, the Product Engineer leverages and directs AI agents across all delivery functions, combining product insight, engineering expertise, and operational accountability to deliver production-ready solutions rapidly and reliably. The ideal candidate is a self-driven product delivery leader who consistently ships high-quality features, maintains production stability, and enhances user experience with minimal operational dependencies.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Product & Domain Ownership: Take full accountability for the entire lifecycle of your product domain, including discovery, design, engineering, QA, documentation, deployment, and continuous enhancement. Ensure domain health, user satisfaction, and product quality are maintained at the highest standards.
- AI Agent Orchestration & Autonomous Execution: Manage and coordinate a suite of AI agents to execute tasks across all delivery disciplines independently, maintaining full visibility and control over their outputs.
- High-Velocity, Quality-First Delivery: Deliver continuous, production-ready improvements with a focus on quality over speed. Every release must be thoroughly tested, documented, and operationally stable before deployment.
- Production Ownership & Post-Deploy Validation: Own all production outcomes, conducting post-release validations within one hour, monitoring deployment health, detecting regressions proactively, and initiating rollbacks if necessary.
- Delivery & Release Governance: Enforce enterprise-grade release readiness, maintain rigorous cross-environment testing, ensure rollback preparedness, and track deployment quality metrics to uphold stability.
- UX Quality & Customer Workflow Ownership: Critically evaluate customer workflows for usability, clarity, and operational readiness. Conduct regular UX audits using AI tools to ensure features are intuitive and complete before release.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Deliver comprehensive documentation alongside every feature, including user guides, API references, and operational notes, treating documentation as integral to the definition of done.
- Stakeholder Communication, Escalation & Transparency: Maintain proactive communication with leadership, surfacing risks, blockers, and scope changes early. Provide clear forecasts, release updates, and post-deployment reports, escalating issues with proposed solutions.
- Product Thinking & Business Impact Ownership: Apply a product ownership mindset to prioritize improvements based on customer outcomes and business value, linking technical delivery to measurable user satisfaction and feature adoption.
- Continuous Improvement & Backlog Ownership: Maintain and prioritize a backlog informed by support tickets, QA audits, UX feedback, analytics, and stakeholder input, using opportunity scoring to focus on high-impact improvements.

- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools and managing AI-generated outputs at production quality.
- Proven ownership of production outcomes, including post-deployment validation, regression handling, incident response, and monitoring deployment health.
- Experience improving customer-facing workflows and UX quality beyond technical implementation.
- Background in agile, high-velocity delivery environments emphasizing continuous, quality-first releases.
- Familiarity with database performance fundamentals such as query optimization and indexing is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
