The Product Engineer at KnowledgeCity is a highly autonomous role responsible for full-lifecycle product delivery within an AI-native framework. This position involves end-to-end ownership of an assigned product domain, covering discovery, specification, engineering, quality assurance, deployment, documentation, and ongoing improvement. Unlike traditional roles, the Product Engineer leverages and directs AI agents across all delivery disciplines, combining product insight, engineering expertise, and operational accountability to deliver production-ready solutions rapidly and reliably. The ideal candidate is a self-driven product delivery leader who consistently ships high-quality features, maintains production stability, and enhances user experience with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-End Product & Domain Ownership: Take full accountability for the entire lifecycle of your product domain, including discovery, design, engineering, QA, deployment, documentation, and continuous improvement. Ensure domain health, user satisfaction, and product quality at all times.

- AI Agent Orchestration & Autonomous Execution: Manage and coordinate a suite of AI agents to perform tasks across all delivery areas. Operate independently with full control and visibility over AI outputs, minimizing reliance on operational support.

- High-Velocity, Quality-First Delivery: Deliver continuous, production-ready improvements with a focus on quality. Every release must be fully tested, documented, and stable before deployment, supporting sustainable engineering practices.

- Production Ownership & Post-Deploy Validation: Own all production outcomes for your domain. Conduct thorough post-deployment checks within one hour of release, monitor system health, detect regressions early, and initiate rollbacks if necessary.

- Delivery & Release Governance: Enforce enterprise-grade release standards, maintain rigorous cross-environment testing, and ensure rollback readiness. Track deployment metrics and address stability issues proactively, especially for customer-facing workflows.

- UX Quality & Customer Workflow Ownership: Critically assess user experience and operational readiness, not just technical correctness. Use AI-powered UX audits to validate that features are intuitive and complete before release.

- Documentation & Knowledge Management: Deliver comprehensive documentation alongside every feature, including user guides, API references, and operational notes. Documentation is a mandatory part of the definition of done.

- Stakeholder Communication, Escalation & Transparency: Maintain proactive communication with management, surfacing risks, blockers, and scope changes early. Provide clear delivery forecasts, coordinate releases, and escalate issues with proposed solutions.

- Product Thinking & Business Impact Ownership: Make decisions with a strong product ownership mindset, prioritizing customer outcomes and business value. Connect technical delivery to measurable user satisfaction and feature adoption metrics.

- Continuous Improvement & Backlog Ownership: Maintain and prioritize a backlog based on support tickets, QA audits, UX insights, analytics, and stakeholder feedback. Use opportunity scoring to focus on high-impact improvements.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in product management, engineering management, or related disciplines with proven ability to independently deliver end-to-end product outcomes.

- Demonstrated success in shipping production-grade products, not just isolated features.

- Experience spanning at least two areas among software engineering, product management, UX design, or QA, with credibility across the full product lifecycle.

- Practical knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and the ability to critically review AI-generated outputs for production readiness.

- Proven ownership of production outcomes including post-deployment validation, regression handling, incident response, and monitoring deployment health.

- Experience improving customer-facing workflows and UX quality beyond technical implementation.

- Background in agile, high-velocity environments emphasizing continuous, quality-first delivery.

- Familiarity with database performance fundamentals such as query optimization and indexing is a strong advantage.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.

- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent product management certification.

- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English for effective communication.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience in EdTech or SaaS product environments is desirable but not mandatory.

- Enjoy high autonomy with direct ownership of your product domain rather than managing tickets.

- Work at the cutting edge of AI-native product engineering.

- Benefit from paid time off and a supportive, high-trust team culture.

- Access professional growth opportunities through company training materials and courses.

- Competitive compensation aligned with experience.

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead product delivery with full ownership and leverage AI-driven tools to accelerate impact in a dynamic, innovative environment.
