Product & QA Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Product & QA Specialist to oversee the quality, reliability, and functionality of Android mobile applications (both native and hybrid), web applications, and .NET backend APIs. This role demands hands-on experience in manual and automated testing, API validation, defect management, product documentation, and mobile hardware integration testing. The successful candidate will independently manage QA activities from requirement analysis through testing and production release, ensuring seamless product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform manual and automated testing of Android mobile and web applications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, regression suites, and QA checklists.
- Execute various testing types including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, end-to-end, exploratory, negative, and boundary testing.
- Test .NET REST APIs using Postman or similar tools, validating requests, responses, authentication, error handling, and data consistency.
- Verify integration and data flow between mobile apps, web apps, APIs, and databases.
- Conduct basic SQL queries and database validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Identify, document, prioritize, track, and retest defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Perform Android device and OS compatibility testing under different network conditions, including offline and synchronization scenarios.
- Test mobile hardware features such as QR/barcode scanners, biometric authentication, GPS, camera, NFC, Bluetooth, push notifications, and device permissions.
- Conduct responsive and cross-browser compatibility testing for web applications.
- Review business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflows to identify gaps, edge cases, and potential risks.
- Prepare and maintain product documentation including user flows, business rules, test reports, release notes, and known issues.
- Support release validation, production smoke testing, post-deployment verification, and investigation of production issues.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product teams, database teams, and DevOps to resolve issues and enhance product quality.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, requirement discussions, bug triage, and release activities.
- Contribute to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement of QA processes and test coverage.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Software QA/Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in manual testing of Android mobile and web applications.
- Practical experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Proficient in REST API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Solid knowledge of test case development, defect tracking, regression testing, and test execution.
- Basic SQL and database validation skills with an understanding of application-to-database integration.
- Experience using Jira or similar defect and project management tools.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software release processes.
- Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools like Testim, Functionize, or Mabl.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, and version control systems like Git.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Expertise

- Experience testing applications that interact with mobile device capabilities including QR/barcode scanning, biometric devices, GPS/location services, camera, NFC, Bluetooth, fingerprint authentication, push notifications, device permissions, Wi-Fi, mobile networks, and offline/online data synchronization.
- Familiarity with Android Studio, ADB, device logs, and troubleshooting device-level issues is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and technically proficient professional capable of independently managing QA for assigned product features. They should be adept at identifying functional and usability gaps, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring reliable product releases.
