The Production Engineer will play a key role in ensuring smooth production operations by adhering to defined processes and quality standards. The role involves monitoring production performance, identifying gaps in processes and productivity, and supporting initiatives aimed at improving quality, efficiency, and safety. This position requires close collaboration with production teams to resolve technical issues and enhance overall manufacturing effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor production line activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process parameters, and quality standards.
- Track production performance metrics such as output, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), cycle time, downtime, productivity, line efficiency, and rejection rates to identify improvement opportunities.
- Provide daily technical and process support to production teams, assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues that impact productivity and delivery schedules.
- Conduct cycle time observations, workstation and process audits, and 5S workplace organization checks to detect bottlenecks, waste, and process inefficiencies.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen events, waste elimination, line balancing, Single-Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), and other productivity enhancement projects.
- Ensure availability and proper condition of production tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and equipment necessary for uninterrupted operations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed production engineering reports, key performance indicator (KPI) updates, audit records, and other documentation related to process performance.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSc, BE, or BTech) from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or assembly operations, preferably within a plant environment.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Kaizen, 5S methodology, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Familiarity with production KPIs such as OEE, productivity, cycle time, and downtime analysis.
- Competence in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication, coordination, and multitasking abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to work.
