Production Manager – Fashion Apparel (Zellbury)

Zellbury is looking for a seasoned Production Manager to lead the entire production cycle of fashion apparel at its Baldia site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cut-to-pack operations within a chain system environment and possess a thorough understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and production workflows. This role demands a strategic mindset focused on wastage management, cost efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Oversee the cut-to-pack process, maintaining quality and operational efficiency.
- Manage workflow within a chain system production setup to maximize output.
- Coordinate closely with design, merchandising, and procurement teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Evaluate fabric quality, including shrinkage and GSM, prior to production.
- Work with sourcing teams to select appropriate fabrics based on product specifications.
- Ensure correct handling and storage of raw materials to preserve quality.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures at all production stages.
- Collaborate with QA teams to minimize defects and reduce rework.
- Ensure compliance with industry and brand-specific quality standards.
- Identify and address fabric, trims, and production wastage, developing strategies to reduce losses.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize resource utilization.
- Track production KPIs to maintain minimal wastage and maximize cost efficiency.
- Lead, train, and motivate production staff, supervisors, and operators to improve productivity.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and effective problem-solving.
- Facilitate coordination between various production departments.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and third-party manufacturers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to support seamless workflow.
- Analyze production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Continuously seek and apply innovative production techniques to enhance efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in fashion apparel production, preferably within chain system setups.
- Proven hands-on experience in cut-to-pack operations at a reputable fashion brand.
- Strong knowledge of various fabric types, GSM, shrinkage, and other material properties.
- Expertise in identifying and reducing material and operational wastage.
- Proficiency in production planning, quality control, and process optimization.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, supervisors, and production floor workers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address production bottlenecks and improve overall efficiency.

- Salary Range: Rs 200,000 to Rs 250,000 per month
