Production Manager

The Production Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Korangi District. This position is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure that manufacturing processes for plastic packaging and medical devices meet established quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The Production Manager will plan and schedule production activities, coordinate closely with design and engineering teams, monitor equipment performance, and manage workflow to meet delivery deadlines. Supervising production staff, enforcing standard operating procedures, maintaining regulatory compliance, and optimizing resource utilization are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the Production Manager will track production metrics, resolve operational challenges, and collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient output.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and client-facing teams to align production goals.
- Monitor equipment performance and manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Supervise and lead production staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and safety regulations.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and workplace safety requirements, including proper documentation.
- Track and analyze production metrics to identify areas for process optimization and quality improvement.
- Address operational issues promptly to maintain smooth production flow.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or 5S in collaboration with management.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in production management within plastics manufacturing, packaging, or medical device industries.
- Strong knowledge of injection and extrusion blow molding processes, production workflows, and equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in quality control, process optimization, and continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., Lean, 5S).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including training and motivating production staff.
- Ability to analyze production data, generate reports, and utilize manufacturing or ERP software for monitoring efficiency.
- Solid understanding of workplace safety standards, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing documentation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- A technical or engineering degree or diploma in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing disciplines is preferred.
- Prior experience as a line supervisor or shift in-charge is considered an advantage.
