Production Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Injection/Extrusion Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in setting up and operating injection and extrusion machines, with a strong focus on optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and product quality. This role requires close collaboration with maintenance and quality teams to ensure smooth production runs and adherence to safety standards. The position is based on-site and demands a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and start injection and extrusion machines, adjusting parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and cooling time to meet production requirements.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce cycle times and minimize rejection rates, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Identify and troubleshoot common defects including short shots, flash, sink marks, burn marks, and warpage to maintain product quality.
- Monitor production activities throughout shifts to ensure process stability and consistent output.
- Coordinate effectively with mold maintenance and quality assurance teams to address issues and support smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate process sheets and parameter records for documentation and continuous process improvement.
- Support new trials and development activities aimed at enhancing production capabilities and product innovation.
- Adhere to and promote safe working practices during mold changes and machine operation to ensure a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE).
- 3 to 5 years of practical experience working in an injection or extrusion production plant.
- Strong understanding of injection and extrusion molding processes, including cycle time control, cavity balance, and maintaining process stability.
- Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, in-person production environment.
