Production Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Injection/Extrusion Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating injection and extrusion machines, ensuring optimal machine parameters, and maintaining process efficiency. This role requires hands-on experience in troubleshooting defects and collaborating closely with maintenance and quality teams to uphold production standards. The position is based on-site and demands a commitment to safety and process stability throughout all shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and start injection and extrusion machines, adjusting parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and cooling time to meet production requirements.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to reduce cycle times and minimize rejection rates.
- Identify and troubleshoot common defects including short shots, flash, sink marks, burn marks, and warpage.
- Monitor production activities during shifts to ensure consistent process stability and product quality.
- Coordinate effectively with mold maintenance and quality assurance teams to address issues and improve operations.
- Maintain accurate process sheets and records of machine parameters for traceability and continuous improvement.
- Support new trial runs and development projects to enhance production capabilities.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols during mold changes and machine operation to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or a Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE).
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working in injection or extrusion production plants.
- Strong understanding of injection and extrusion processes, including cycle time control, cavity balance, and maintaining process stability.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve common molding defects efficiently.
- Willingness to work on-site as this is an in-person role.
