Production Support Officer

This role involves working within the Manufacturing and Filling operations of the Ampoules and Eye Drops department. The primary focus is to ensure the required production output while strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and regulatory standards. The position demands a commitment to maintaining operational efficiency, data integrity, and compliance with company policies to support high-quality pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the safety of the work area by promoting zero waste initiatives and conducting ZAP & ZIP reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production, downtime, changeovers, preventive maintenance, and other relevant data for Ampoules and Eye Drops manufacturing and filling operations on a daily basis.
- Propose and implement measures to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and maintain toolkit data.
- Monitor and ensure that all production floor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, including adherence to daily OEE targets and conformance to production plans.
- Comply with GMP requirements such as proper labeling, In-Process Controls (IPC), and line clearance, as well as EHS protocols like zero access and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) during operations.
- Operate in a cost-efficient manner by ensuring right-first-time production, minimizing changeovers, and reducing waste.
- Identify, propose, and execute Operational Excellence (OE) projects upon management approval.
- Keep comprehensive records for each machine, including daily logbooks, maintenance, cleaning, and changeover documentation.
- Ensure compliance with data integrity principles (ALCOA+) to maintain high standards in manufacturing and filling processes.
- Complete all SAP transactions related to end-to-end production and packaging operations for Ampoules and Eye Drops in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum Diploma (DAE) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing or packaging operations.
- Ability to read and follow written procedures and technical instructions accurately.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic production equipment.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work on-site shifts.
- Basic spoken and written proficiency in Urdu or English to ensure clear communication and reporting.
