The ICCM Program & Data Officer will play a critical role in supporting the implementation, coordination, monitoring, data management, and reporting of Integrated Community Case Management (ICCM) activities at the district level. Working under the technical guidance of the Manager Programs & Communication and in close collaboration with the Provincial Team, this position ensures effective service delivery, data quality, and stakeholder coordination to strengthen community health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support district-level implementation, coordination, and monitoring of ICCM activities, including expansion efforts and service delivery enhancement.
- Coordinate with government departments, Lady Health Supervisors/Family Planners (LHS/FPs), Community Health Workers (CHWs), reporting health facilities, district teams, partners, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth program operations.
- Assist in planning and organizing Monthly Review Meetings (MRMs), District Review Meetings (DRMs), Joint Monitoring Visits (JMVs), trainings, workshops, and other program-related activities.
- Support CHW mapping, deployment, training, orientation, follow-up, and maintain accurate records related to these activities.
- Collect, compile, enter, maintain, and manage ICCM data using approved tools and reporting systems, including DHIS2, ensuring data integrity and timeliness.
- Compile and review monthly reports from CHWs and reporting health facilities, ensuring timely submission to the Provincial Team.
- Analyze program data, track key performance indicators, prepare regular reports, and provide actionable insights for program planning and decision-making.
- Review and verify data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency, including FM1/FM2 registers, referral slips, and other source documents.
- Conduct data validation exercises, spot checks, and supportive supervisory visits to improve reporting quality and compliance with program standards.
- Verify reported commodity utilization, such as Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDTs), against stock records and reported service delivery data.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical records of program activities, training sessions, monitoring efforts, and reporting documentation.
- Support the preparation of work plans, budgets, progress reports, budget-versus-expenditure statements, and other essential program documentation.
- Assist in drafting correspondence, meeting minutes, presentations, success stories, and logistical arrangements for program activities.
- Provide orientation and technical support to relevant staff on data collection, reporting procedures, and data quality assurance, ensuring compliance with program, donor, and government requirements.
- Share regular updates on program progress, data gaps, and challenges with supervisors and the Provincial Team.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in program implementation, coordination, and data management, preferably within community health or related sectors.
- Strong knowledge of ICCM or similar community health programs and familiarity with government health systems and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data collection, management, and analysis, including experience with DHIS2 or similar health information systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage detailed records.
- Ability to conduct data validation, supportive supervision, and quality assurance activities effectively.
- Competence in preparing reports, work plans, budgets, and other program documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
