Cosmos Energies is looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Karachi. This role provides a valuable opportunity to work in the renewable energy sector, focusing on solar projects. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in renewable energy, preferably with solar installations, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. This position involves hands-on responsibilities in designing, commissioning, and supporting solar energy systems, making it ideal for someone passionate about sustainable energy and eager to develop their career in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to evaluate project requirements and site conditions.
- Design and commission solar power systems, ensuring they meet performance standards and regulatory compliance.
- Provide after-sales technical support, including system monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Efficiently address and resolve technical complaints to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and perform technical calculations such as earthing, AC/DC cable sizing, breaker selection, and string sizing based on inverter ratings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BE).
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, with a preference for solar energy projects.
- Proficiency in Helioscope software for solar system design and analysis.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Energetic, proactive, and reliable work ethic.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate commitment to deadlines and punctuality.
