We are seeking skilled engineers to join our client’s dynamic team based in Karachi. The team focuses on developing and delivering advanced software solutions for collecting, storing, processing, and presenting industrial plant data, spanning from edge devices to cloud platforms. Their primary sectors include renewable energy—covering solar, wind, hydropower, and battery storage—as well as the oil and gas industry. The Karachi team collaborates closely with colleagues in Norway, so candidates should be self-motivated, capable of taking initiative, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Configure and deploy SCADA solutions according to project specifications, including parameter setup, tag mapping, and basic customization to ensure seamless integration with field devices and systems.
- Conduct comprehensive internal testing to validate system functionality, followed by external testing with clients to confirm compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, product development, and other internal teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement procedures for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues to guarantee reliable and continuous system operation.
- Provide training to customers on SCADA systems and deliver ongoing technical support as needed.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in both oral and written English.
- Comfortable engaging directly with customers and managing client interactions.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

- Experience in hybrid energy systems, including Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hydropower, and Wind Energy.
- Familiarity with oil and gas industry standards and processes across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, including knowledge of control systems, safety protocols, and process workflows.
- Hands-on expertise with SCADA platforms such as Wonderware, WinCC, Ignition, and GE iFIX, with the ability to configure, deploy, and support these systems in diverse industrial environments.
- Proficient in industrial communication protocols including Modbus (RTU, TCP/IP), OPC (UA, DA), and IEC 61850.
- Strong skills in algorithm development and logical problem solving using programming languages like C#, Python, or equivalents.
- Experience working with databases such as MS SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Windows management tools and services, as well as the .NET Framework development environment for managing and deploying industrial applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools like OneDrive and Teams.
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Lens for Kubernetes cluster management.
