The System Administrator will manage and enhance EMIS-related IT solutions, ensuring optimal performance of hardware, software, and databases. The role involves analyzing requirements, integrating new features, and liaising between internal teams and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing/proposed systems and document interfaces between legacy and new systems.
- Monitor and optimize database and application server performance.
- Implement proactive measures to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Translate user requirements into detailed project briefs and technical solutions.
- Identify potential solutions, assess technical feasibility, and implement enhancements.
- Work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure system compatibility and user satisfaction.
- Manage daily system and database backups, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Maintain 24/7 system functionality, addressing any technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement and oversee security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and threats.
- Conduct system testing, and integration, and propose modifications/customizations.
- Provide user training and technical documentation.
- Evaluate new systems and architectures for performance and scalability.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or relevant field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a System Analyst or Software Developer.
Required Skills
- Software design, documentation, testing, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in programming languages and software architecture.
- Experience with web servers, Crystal Reports, or SharePoint.
- Experience on windows and Linux server platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and consulting skills.
