We are looking for an experienced Contractor to take on the role of Assessment Lead / Project Manager for a critical 12-week PG Reporting Opportunity Assessment. In this position, you will be responsible for translating the approved scope into a detailed and executable workplan, coordinating cross-functional discovery and analysis, facilitating decision-making forums, managing end-to-end program governance, and delivering actionable recommendations for executive leadership. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across PG Reporting, Business, Data & Analytics, Technology, Operations, Workforce, Risk, Control, Quality, and Leadership to assess current risks, command center actions, future requirements, policy-level contact information sources, and operational/external client reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment Planning & Governance:
Take full ownership of the assessment charter, scope, workplan, schedule, milestones, deliverables, resource allocation, and governance framework. Confirm objectives, priority groups, metrics, stakeholders, decision criteria, and authority with the executive sponsor and leadership. Translate the assessment approach into detailed activities including dependencies, evidence requests, interview plans, workshops, and decision forums. Maintain RAID (risk, issue, action, dependency, assumption, decision) logs, ensure accountability, manage deadlines, and escalate significant barriers or resource constraints promptly.
Discovery, Evidence & Cross-Functional Coordination:
Coordinate the timely collection and organization of policies, inventories, change logs, dashboards, reconciliations, source-system extracts, volume trends, and prior issue documentation. Plan and facilitate working sessions, stakeholder interviews, walkthroughs, findings reviews, weekly team meetings, and biweekly leadership decision forums. Maintain a comprehensive, traceable, and organized assessment repository including workplans, evidence, analyses, meeting outputs, requirements, decisions, and deliverables. Ensure assessment methods and evidence support findings through targeted sampling, trend analysis, metric reproduction, and remediation validation.
Findings, Requirements & Recommendations:
Lead the synthesis of current-state gaps, root-cause themes, residual risks, command center lessons, and future-state requirements across processes, data, controls, monitoring, and reporting. Develop an opportunity inventory, current-state summary, command center retrospective, action validation, and future-state business requirements. Evaluate recommendation options using agreed criteria such as risk reduction, business impact, feasibility, effort, cost, scalability, dependencies, and time to value. Prioritize short-term stabilization actions and long-term recommendations with supporting rationale, tradeoffs, and capacity needs.
Executive Communication & Implementation Readiness:
Prepare concise, executive-ready status updates, decision materials, findings, recommendations, and roadmap deliverables. Facilitate leadership alignment on key findings, future-state requirements, source options, reporting models, priorities, and approval decisions. Produce the final roadmap, executive decision package, and handoff materials for ongoing owners and follow-on implementation teams. Support implementation mobilization, delivery governance, issue resolution, and transition to sustainable business ownership if recommendations advance.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Analytics, Project Management, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience:
7+ years leading complex assessments, transformation initiatives, cross-functional programs, operational improvements, or reporting programs.
End-to-End Leadership:
Proven ability to lead initiatives from mobilization through executive recommendation, managing scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, risks, governance, and transition planning.
Assessment Expertise:
Experience leading discovery, current-state assessments, requirements definition, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and recommendation development.
Cross-Functional Integration:
Strong understanding of data, reporting, process, control, and technology dependencies, with the ability to integrate specialist findings into a coherent business assessment.
Stakeholder Alignment:
Demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders across business, data, technology, risk, control, and executive leadership without direct authority.
Skills:
Exceptional written, verbal, facilitation, and executive presentation skills; strong analytical judgment and structured problem-solving under tight timelines.
