Project Manager (Technical)

We are seeking a Project Manager (Technical) to lead the planning, management, and delivery of technology implementation and professional services projects primarily for state government clients.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end technical projects for state government clients, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards. Manage project plans, milestones, resources, risks, dependencies, issues, and change requests effectively. Act as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships with government stakeholders and internal teams. Coordinate technical implementation activities including system configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and go-live. Translate client and business requirements into clear technical deliverables and actionable project plans. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, security, privacy, documentation, and government regulations. Lead project status meetings, reporting, governance, and executive communications. Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to resolve issues and drive adoption. Support training, change management, post-launch stabilization, and continuous improvement efforts. Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and business expansion.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical project management, SaaS implementation, or professional services is required. Demonstrated success managing complex technology projects and cross-functional teams. Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies. Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Smartsheet. Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on U.S. state government or public-sector projects is highly desirable. Background in SaaS, HR technology, workforce development, talent acquisition, or recruitment platforms is a plus. Familiarity with APIs, integrations, data migration, single sign-on (SSO), security, and cloud environments. Experience managing Statements of Work (SOWs), Request for Proposal (RFP) deliverables, compliance requirements, and government contracts. Proven ability in UAT, implementation, training, change management, and driving customer adoption. Knowledge of AI/ML integration within technology projects is advantageous. Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, or equivalent are considered a strong asset.
