This internship opportunity offers a chance to support the Business Conduct Leader (BCL) and their team in managing processes and practices related to ethics, compliance, and risk mitigation. The role involves contributing to the development and implementation of policies, enhancing awareness of ethical decision-making, and supporting compliance initiatives that help maintain PwC’s commitment to responsible business conduct.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Implementation: Assist in creating, executing, and monitoring innovative controls and practices focused on ethics and business conduct within core regulatory areas.

Communication & Education: Support efforts to raise awareness and understanding of ethical principles and the PwC Code of Conduct through strategic communication and educational programs.

Performance Evaluation: Analyze performance data periodically to identify trends and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the Ethics function.

Compliance Support: Act as an Assistant Assessor during the annual Ethics and Business Conduct Network Standard compliance and self-evaluation process.

Investigation Responsibilities:
- Complaint Management: Maintain a detailed log of ethics complaints and investigations in the Ethics Management System, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Investigation Leadership: Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into ethics complaints by gathering relevant evidence and information.
- Interview Conduct: Facilitate confidential interviews with stakeholders, witnesses, and involved parties to collect comprehensive information.
- Report Drafting: Prepare clear and detailed investigation reports summarizing findings for review by senior BCL team members.
- Case Closure: Collaborate with the BCL team to finalize investigations, recommend actions, and implement necessary steps to close cases effectively.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should hold a degree in one of the following fields:
- Law (LLB)
- Psychology
- Philosophy
- Organizational Behaviour
- International Relations or Political Science

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning. The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment focused on ethical standards and business conduct is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not mandatory, familiarity with compliance frameworks, business ethics, and regulatory standards will be advantageous. Skills such as active listening, empathy, emotional regulation, and the ability to accept feedback constructively are beneficial. Experience or interest in digital tooling, AI-human collaboration, and compliance program implementation may also enhance a candidate’s suitability for the role.
