We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our team and manage contractual matters across multiple construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing contract administration, ensuring compliance, managing variations and claims, and supporting project teams with contractual correspondence. This role requires close coordination with quantity surveyors, consultants, contractors, and clients to mitigate risks and maintain accurate contract records. The position is based on-site and demands a proactive approach to contract management and commercial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

- Daily Contract Administration: Review contractual obligations, notices, correspondence, and emerging issues related to assigned projects to ensure compliance and timely resolution.

- Daily Contractual Correspondence: Coordinate and review contractual letters, notices, responses, and supporting documentation in collaboration with project teams.

- Weekly Contract Compliance: Monitor obligations of employers/clients, consultants, contractors, and the company against contract requirements, maintaining up-to-date compliance trackers.

- Weekly Variation and Change Management: Assess variations, change instructions, additional works, and related contractual and commercial documentation in coordination with quantity surveyors and project teams.

- Monthly Claims and Extension of Time (EOT) Management: Oversee the preparation, review, and tracking of claims and EOT submissions, ensuring all supporting records are accurate and complete.

- Monthly Contract Risk Review: Identify contractual exposures such as delayed approvals, unresolved variations, notice requirements, and other commercial risks, recommending mitigation strategies.

- Monthly Contract Reporting: Prepare consolidated reports detailing contract status, including claims, variations, EOTs, notices, correspondence, pending approvals, and significant contractual issues.

- Quarterly Commercial and Contract Review: Conduct comprehensive project-wise reviews of contractual performance, claims and variation status, key exposures, and unresolved matters with senior management.

- Quarterly Contract Controls and Closeout: Review contractual records for completeness, outstanding obligations, and closeout requirements, proposing improvements to contract management processes.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in contract administration, commercial management, claims handling, and construction/project contracts.

Skills and Competencies

- Strong expertise in contract administration, contractual correspondence, claims management, extension of time (EOT), and variation management.

- Proficient knowledge of FIDIC and other contract conditions.

- Commercial management skills including contract risk assessment, reporting, negotiation, and procurement.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Additional qualifications or certifications in Contracts or Commercial Management are highly desirable.
