A reputable development sector organization based in Islamabad is seeking an experienced professional to join its Head Office team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social sciences, development studies, economics, disaster management, or related fields, combined with extensive experience in project and disaster management within the development sector. This role demands a highly organized individual with excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and maintaining high ethical standards. The position also requires frequent travel to project sites across Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

Core Program & Operational Responsibilities:
- Conduct desk appraisals, technical reviews, and financial analyses of project proposals submitted by NGOs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s funding policies.
- Prepare and refine project documentation for internal review and presentation to relevant decision-making forums.
- Perform project appraisals, including field verifications when necessary, and provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Compile periodic progress reports, analytical briefs, and other documentation for management review.
- Maintain accurate project records, databases, and knowledge management systems.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity-building support to partner organizations.

Business Development:
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities from bilateral, multilateral, and private donors.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with donors, development partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation of concept notes, project proposals, and funding applications that align with donor priorities.
- Engage proactively with donors to explore collaboration opportunities and expand the organization’s funding portfolio.
- Represent the organization at workshops, seminars, conferences, and networking events.
- Monitor donor trends, calls for proposals, and sector priorities to inform strategic positioning.
- Contribute to the organization’s growth strategy through pipeline development and partnership building.
- Ensure all project proposals comply with organizational guidelines, donor requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

Coordination & Strategic Support:
- Liaise effectively with government departments, NGOs, and development partners to support program implementation.
- Assist senior management with policy analysis, strategic planning, and program development.
- Help enhance the organization’s visibility, credibility, and outreach within the development sector.

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 16 years of education in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Disaster Management, or a related discipline.
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the development sector, project management, or disaster management.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including experience with donor reporting and project impact evaluation.
- Excellent proposal writing and documentation skills, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
- Proven experience in donor engagement, partnership development, and professional networking.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, coordination, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently to project locations across Pakistan.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- The maximum age limit for applicants is 45 years.
- The salary offered is PKR 150,000 per month, along with standard perks and privileges, which are negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
