Proposal / Estimation Engineer – Switchgear Sector

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Proposal / Estimation Engineer to join our team in the switchgear sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical and commercial proposals by thoroughly analyzing RFQs, BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents. This role requires close collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure proposals meet client requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Review RFQs, tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and technical specifications to gather necessary information for proposal preparation.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, pricing sheets, and offer breakdowns to support competitive and profitable bids.
- Assist in developing comprehensive technical and commercial proposals aligned with client needs and project specifications.
- Draft compliance and deviation statements, clarifications, and other supporting bid documentation.
- Coordinate with senior team members to finalize proposals and obtain necessary approvals.
- Liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, procurement, design, and sales teams to gather inputs and ensure accuracy of proposals.
- Maintain organized records of proposals, costing sheets, and related documentation for future reference and audits.
- Support management by preparing summary reports, approval notes, and presentations related to proposals and estimations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the proposal department to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Ensure all proposals comply with company standards, client requirements, and internal procedures.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc., B.Tech, or BS Tech Electrical).
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in proposals and estimation within the switchgear industry.
- Age between 24 and 35 years.

Required Skills

- Strong analytical and technical skills with a solid understanding of power systems and switchgear products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external parties.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free documentation.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications relevant to the role is an advantage.

Work Location

This position requires in-person attendance at the company’s office.
