MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing IP/MPLS Links:
- Provisioning, Testing, Configuration, Commissioning & Troubleshooting of IP/MPLS customer links, International Backbone & Intra (DR & Metro Ethernet) and Intercity (National) links.
- Resolving Costumer Complaints (Commercial as well as Internal) in timely manner
- Performing Planned & Emergency Maintenance Activities with minimal outage
Liaison with Vendors & CISCO:
- Coordination with Upstream Providers, Vendors, Downstream (PCM, SDH, OFNS,DXX, DRS).
- Coordinating with Cisco for Network Problems & RMA activities.
- Traffic Engineering: Level – II Support for Routing, Switching, & MPLS including Traffic Engineering/ management.
SNMP-Based Monitoring & Management:
- Maintaining, managing & monitoring of PIE upstream’ s & infrastructure links including environment using wide range of SNMP based tools which includes MRTG, PRTG, Cacti, Solar Winds, Smoke ping, Arbor Peak Flow, Sandvine Control Center etc.
Regulatory Compliance & Value –added Services
- Operations & Maintenance of Arbor DDoS SP TMS Systems with enhanced focus on Reports and Managed Objects.
- Operations & Maintenance of Sandvine DPI / URL Filtering System
Backups:
- Managing & Backing up of critical Router/Switch data (IOS / Configuration) for speedy recovery in case of any Disaster
- Any Other Projects Assigned by the Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
Education: Basic or Higher degree in Engineering preferably Computer Systems, Telecom, Electronics, or Electrical
Expertise: Experience in relevant field will be preferred.
