Manager (Legal) is responsible to manage the legal team primarily to provide in-house advisory guidance with the aim to establish best practices within the legal framework of the organization so as to secure & safeguard the interests of the company. The incumbent would be required to have competent expertise of independently conducting and monitoring legal proceedings, conduct litigation and manage related legal matters including commercial matters, recovery matters, land matters and arbitration disputes. The incumbent shall also ensure coordination and implementation of court’s verdict by the concerned department through the respective line manager
Major Responsibilities:
- Attend Commercial litigation, land and recovery matters
- Monitor the implementation of corporate laws
- Provide guidance and direction for Legal Proceedings
- Monitor commercial and corporate affairs to ensure that there are no legal complications.
- Update Management about Legal issues and Statutory Compliances on need basis.
- Monitor contracts for compliance with government, company and department policies
- Prepare legal reports, Drafts and reviews various company documents.
- Draft plaints, petitions, legal notices & its replies.
- Prepare legal correspondence.
- Follow up of commercial, corporate, and consumer Litigation at regional level.
- Liaison with regions regarding progress of cases.
- Liaison with internal departments of company and external regulators and advisors.
- Ensure compliance with budgets, targets, and deadlines through the implementation of cost efficient controls.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
