Job Description

Punjab Power Development Company Limited (PPDCL) is a Government of Punjab owned, corporate entity duly incorporated under section 32 of Companies Ordinance, 1984. The company was established in January 2008. The company is aimed at developing power generation projects based on different technologies for sale to National Grid (National Transmission and Dispatch Company-NTDC) or Distribution Companies. PPDCL also looks forward for supplying quality electric supply in bulk to Industrial Estates or retail electric supply to industrial units in Industrial Estates in a commercially viable manner. For the development of projects on fast track basis in the public sector, the Govt. of Punjab has established Punjab Power Development Company Limited which is registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

PPDCL invites the applications from suitable candidates domiciled Punjab for the appointment against the mentioned position  

Location: Lahore

Maximum Age limit: 45

1) The ideal candidate should Eligible Qualifications as per Rule 22 (2) of Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules 2013 (Any of the below 5). 

  • Member of a Recognized Body of Professional Accountant (CA/ACMA/ACCA/ICAEW etc) OR 
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) OR 
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) OR 
  • Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA) OR 
  • A master's degree in finance from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.                   

2) A Candidate having additional or multiple qualifications will have an added advantage.

3) Candidate must possess experience of not less than 5 years in audit either external or internal. Should be well acquainted with various functions related to Corporate Governance within the company including Operation & Maintenance, Accounting & Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Risk assessment, etc. with a;

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience at a similar role or a senior management level role.
  • Experience of Power Sector Generation Companies knowledge of SECP, NEPRA, etc. understanding of issues related to power plants.
  • Experience of Public Sector companies, the experience of dealing with government bodies such as the Auditor General of Pakistan. The Candidate should have good knowledge & abilities to interact directly and independently with Government agencies.
