Purchase Officer

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Outdoor Purchase Officer with extensive knowledge of Karachi markets to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing mechanical and electrical items essential for factory operations. This role requires hands-on market visits, vendor management, and ensuring timely procurement to support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase mechanical and electrical items for the factory, including motors, bearings, pumps, panels, wiring, spare parts, and hardware.
- Source and procure factory materials, hardware, spare parts, and general items efficiently.
- Conduct regular visits to various Karachi markets such as Sher Shah, Bolton Market, Light House, and Jodia Bazar to compare prices and quality.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while negotiating prices to achieve the best value.
- Ensure timely purchase and delivery of materials to the factory, maintaining smooth operational flow.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience of 2 to 4 years in factory purchasing, specifically with a background in mechanical and electrical items.
- Strong familiarity with Karachi markets and knowledge of where to find quality mechanical and electrical goods at competitive prices.
- Expertise in vendor negotiation and rate bargaining to secure favorable terms.
- Minimum educational qualification of Intermediate or Graduation.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and email communication.
- Personal attributes such as honesty, responsibility, and punctuality are essential.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Preference will be given to candidates residing near Port Qasim, Landhi, Korangi, Quaidabad, Malir, Shah Faisal, and Ghaghar Phatak for ease of market visits and timely procurement.
- The position requires in-person attendance at the workplace to effectively manage purchasing activities.
