Responsibilities:
- Manage the ongoing support of Clients' distributed data systems
- Proactively monitor and maintain servers both locally and remotely.
- Ensure systems security and operational functions.
- Maintain asset lifecycle – commission, decommission, consolidation, and data migration.
- Document operational processes and maintain SOPs in collaboration with Systems Engineers
- Implement and support infrastructure for complex applications, installations, and upgrades, including documentation and life cycle support.
- Analyze system performance and implement changes to ensure server stability.
- Troubleshoot complex system problems that are generated from normal support processes.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call support and quarterly maintenance activities outside of business hours.
- Participate and communicate in a multi-site team environment.
Required Technical Skills:
- Experience implementing and administering server hardware and operating systems.
- Hands on knowledge of OS Administration for Red Hat Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Oracle Virtual Machine, Solaris, VMware ESX, and/or server virtualization and security patching for Linux.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012 - 2022, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, and TCP/IP networking.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures.
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Microfocus Service Manager/HPSM, Infrastructure management scripting and automation, storage area networks, Windows server clustering, terminal services, and no-tape backup solutions.
- Experience with project management, problem management in a data center environment.
- Experience with data center and infrastructure migrations.
- Cloud datacenter and infrastructure management (IaaS and/or PaaS) in Azure or AWS
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or work equivalence required
Experience:
- Min 5 years of IT infrastructure experience required
