We are looking for a motivated; detail oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team of professionals. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you need to know how to:
- Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments, hospitalizations, and procedures.
- Prepare billing data and clean medical claims to the insurance companies in accordance with medical records.
- Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting clean claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.
- In charge of calculating, collecting and posting payments for medical procedures and services.
- Following up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe.
- To ensure that claims are processed by clearing house, insurances and TPA’s in timely manners and patient statements generated regularly.
- Managing account balances and resolving inconsistencies.
- Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary.
- Reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims by written and/or verbal requests.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports to analyze and resolve on-going practice issues.
- To improve First Time Pass Rate, reduce DAR and increase Payment to Charge Ratios.
Experience/Skills:
Required:
- Previous Revenue Cycle knowledge in one of the following areas including PFS, Customer Service, Cash Posting, Financial Assistance, Patient Access, Coding and/or 3rd party Reimbursement.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with people.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
