We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to delivering reliable, user-friendly software products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the development team to plan and execute tests, maintain automated test suites, and identify issues early in the software development lifecycle. Your efforts will help ensure high-quality releases that meet both functional and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to design comprehensive test plans and cases.
- Perform API testing, particularly for RESTful services, using tools like Postman.
- Utilize automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Monitor and report defects, working proactively to identify risks and suggest improvements.
- Use Test Management Systems (TMS) like TestRail, Jira, or Zephyr to document test cases and track progress.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance QA productivity, including test creation, debugging, and analysis.
- Maintain clear communication and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 to 1.5 years of professional experience in Software QA or Testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Proficiency in writing and maintaining automation scripts using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Practical experience in API testing, especially REST APIs, using Postman or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), QA methodologies, and testing processes.
- Familiarity with Test Management Systems like TestRail, Jira, or Zephyr.
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git/GitHub.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to utilize AI tools to improve testing efficiency and quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying risks and taking ownership.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
Location and Work Details:
This is a full-time, onsite position based in DHA Phase 2, Lahore. The role requires working night shifts.
