QA Data Test Lead

We are seeking a seasoned QA Data Test Lead with expertise in ETL testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with large datasets, validating data movement between source and target systems, and ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity. This role requires strong SQL skills and familiarity with Spark, Hive, Snowflake, and data migration testing within the P&C insurance domain. The position is based in Hyderabad, Pune, Coimbatore, or Bengaluru and requires 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ETL testing on large datasets, validating data accuracy and completeness between source and target systems.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts to verify data integrity and quality.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of ETL processes, data pipelines, and databases.
- Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot data anomalies, inconsistencies, and quality issues.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and uphold data quality standards.
- Document test plans, results, and data quality issues; communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Recommend improvements to data quality processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency.
- Automate data validation and testing processes wherever possible to increase accuracy and productivity.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of technical experience in ETL testing, including developing test plans and validating large-scale data migrations.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and hands-on experience with SQL, Spark, Hive, and data migration testing.
- Proficiency in advanced SQL query writing and practical knowledge of Spark SQL, Hive, and the DataFrame API.
- Experience working with Snowflake data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with data quality automation tools and frameworks.
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with effective teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with additional ETL testing and data quality automation tools or frameworks is advantageous.
