QA Engineer

Pico is currently growing its test engineering team, which plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of its high-performance, real-time market data, order entry, and trading application products. This team focuses on delivering innovative automated testing solutions that validate product accuracy, performance, functionality, stress resilience, and use case scenarios. Working within agile teams, test engineers are responsible for both functional testing and automation using an in-house test framework to maintain the high standards of Pico’s industry-leading products.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality and reliability of core financial and enterprise product features.
- Collaborate within an agile software development lifecycle to test new product features effectively.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using programming and scripting skills.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of test engineering experience, preferably with enterprise products running on Linux environments.
- Proficiency in Python programming and shell scripting (bash).
- Strong familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- A degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Interest in financial markets and electronic trading systems.
- Enthusiasm for software testing methodologies and continuous learning.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Functional understanding of cloud environments is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience with C and/or Java programming is a plus.
- The role requires working the EMEA shift (14:00 IST – 22:00 IST), Monday through Friday.
- This is a hybrid position based in Krakow or Hyderabad, offering a balance of office and remote work flexibility. Occasional travel may be required but is not frequent.
- The position involves collaboration across multiple regions including EMEA, USA, and APAC, requiring flexibility in working hours as needed.
