QA Engineer

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with practical experience in Functional Testing, SQL, and Web Automation. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in testing principles, the ability to validate application functionality thoroughly, and hands-on experience automating web-based applications. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the capability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional testing to verify that applications meet both business and functional requirements.
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and develop comprehensive test scenarios.
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases and test scripts.
- Conduct hands-on automation testing of web applications to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Write and run SQL queries to validate backend data and ensure database integrity.
- Identify, document, track, and report defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
- Execute regression, retesting, and end-to-end testing to maintain software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards at every stage of the software development process.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience in Functional Testing with a clear understanding of test case design, test execution, defect life cycle, and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Proficient in SQL with the ability to perform database validation and write complex queries.
- Practical experience in Web Automation Testing using relevant tools and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills:
- Experience in API Testing, including knowledge of API automation frameworks and tools such as REST Assured or Postman.
- Understanding of API validation, request/response handling, and integration testing to support comprehensive test coverage.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to clearly articulate testing outcomes and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
