As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining the highest quality standards by working closely with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
- Review and thoroughly understand functional, technical, and design specifications to ensure accurate and effective testing.
- Provide precise testing estimates to support project planning and delivery timelines.
- Lead test plan and test case reviews with cross-functional teams to align on testing scope and approach.
- Execute, evaluate, and maintain both manual and automated test cases, documenting and communicating results clearly.
- Manage bug triage meetings to prioritize and resolve defects efficiently.
- Participate in root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues, preventing recurrence.
- Validate that deliverables meet customer requirements and quality standards.
- Actively engage in sprint ceremonies, grooming sessions, and other agile processes to promote early QA involvement (shift-left testing).
- Advocate continuous improvement in testing methodologies and QA processes.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2.5 to 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- ISTQB - CTFL certification is preferred.
- Strong passion for delivering exceptional quality with a quality-driven mindset.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Adaptable, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
- Effective team player with experience collaborating across departments.
- Deep understanding of QA/testing processes including SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Programming knowledge in JavaScript, Python, and Java.
- Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall testing methodologies.
- Experience with integration testing, end-to-end (E2E) testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and UI testing.
- Skilled in exploratory, risk-based, boundary-value, and equivalence partitioning testing techniques.
- Expertise in generating comprehensive test cases from requirements and user stories.
- Proficient in defect management and tracking best practices.
- Experience testing mobile (Android, iOS) and web applications.
- Knowledge of API testing including methods, response validation, and error code differentiation.
- Understanding of test pyramid concepts covering unit, integration, and E2E test levels.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Practical experience with test automation tools such as Sofy, BDD frameworks, Maestro, JMeter, Postman, Rest-assured, Selenium, and K6.
- Experience in debugging, unit testing, and backend acceptance testing tools like Tavern and Postman.
- Exposure to chaos engineering and load testing concepts.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools including Jenkins, Bitrise, and cloud deployments.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with distributed version control systems, especially Git.
- Interest or experience in AI-driven testing tools and approaches like AI test generation and defect prediction.
- Strong advocate for shift-left testing principles to ensure early QA involvement.
