QA Engineer Intern

We are looking for a motivated QA Intern to join our team onsite in Karachi. This entry-level role is perfect for fresh graduates or final-semester students who are eager to start their career in Software Quality Assurance. The position offers valuable hands-on experience in an IT environment, primarily focusing on manual testing of web and mobile applications. Candidates should have a basic understanding of software testing concepts and a strong desire to learn through practical involvement. This internship provides exposure to real-world QA processes, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and participation in Agile/Scrum workflows.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in testing web and mobile applications to ensure quality and functionality.
- Execute detailed test cases and accurately report test results.
- Identify, document, and communicate bugs clearly to the development team.
- Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing on new features and bug fixes.
- Collaborate closely with developers and project managers throughout the development cycle.
- Participate actively in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
- Maintain comprehensive testing documentation and update test cases as needed.
- Retest resolved issues to verify fixes before release.
- Help ensure that applications meet specified requirements and quality standards prior to deployment.

Required Qualifications
- Fresh graduate or final-semester student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing principles including manual testing, test cases, test scenarios, and bug/defect reporting.
- Familiarity with functional, regression, and smoke testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of severity and priority concepts in bug tracking.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies, including sprints and daily stand-ups.
- Basic knowledge of web and mobile application testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and basic proficiency in English.
- Ability and willingness to learn, work collaboratively in a team environment, and adapt to an onsite work setting in Karachi.
