QA Engineer

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience to join a dynamic engineering team focused on enterprise-grade and SaaS-based applications. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality across the entire testing spectrum, including manual and automated testing, API and database validation, as well as mobile and backend testing. You will integrate test execution into CI/CD pipelines and communicate release readiness to engineering leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in agile environments, and is adept at maintaining and expanding a comprehensive test case library as the product evolves.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test cases covering functional, regression, integration, API, database, and mobile testing.
- Execute both manual and automated test cycles using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, ensuring clear defect reporting and thorough documentation.
- Validate APIs with Postman, write SQL queries to verify data integrity, and confirm end-to-end backend data flows.
- Conduct mobile application testing across Android and iOS platforms as part of the standard release process.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to guarantee test execution on every build.
- Log, track, and verify defect fixes throughout the defect lifecycle using tools like Jira or TestRail.
- Own release quality metrics and provide regular updates on release readiness to engineering leads.
- Participate actively in sprint planning and design reviews to promote shift-left testing practices.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to clarify requirements and improve QA processes.
- Maintain test plans, reports, and runbooks to ensure consistency and documentation standards are met.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA engineering experience within enterprise-grade or SaaS environments.
- Strong manual testing expertise across functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Proficiency in test automation using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress, with experience integrating these into CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid API testing skills using Postman, along with SQL knowledge for database validation and backend data verification.
- Experience testing mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira or TestRail, and version control workflows using Git.
- Thorough understanding of defect lifecycle management and structured defect reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification is considered a plus.
- Experience working in SaaS companies, B2B product environments, or enterprise software teams is highly desirable.
- Background in FMCG, field force automation, CRM, or large-scale distributed systems will be advantageous.
