QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

Prime Shelf Space is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with expertise in both manual and automation testing to join our remote team based in Pakistan. This full-time role operates during night hours (09:00 PM to 05:00 AM PKT) and focuses on ensuring the quality of our web and mobile products. The ideal candidate will take ownership of manual testing efforts, contribute to automation frameworks, and explore AI-powered tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases for web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Test core product workflows end-to-end, particularly transactional and business-critical flows such as checkout, payments, invoicing, and order or record management.
- Perform thorough mobile testing on iOS and Android platforms, covering native apps and responsive web, with attention to device and OS fragmentation.
- Conduct performance testing by measuring page load times and executing stress/load tests to identify bottlenecks and system limits.
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports and collaborate closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts at the UI and/or API level to support continuous testing efforts.
- Explore and implement AI-powered testing tools to improve test coverage, speed, and overall efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with Product and Design teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
- Participate in release testing and provide sign-off before product deployments to ensure quality standards are met.

Required Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years of experience in QA or software testing roles.
- Proven experience testing transactional or business-critical web applications; ecommerce experience is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience testing mobile applications or mobile web on Android and iOS platforms.
- Solid knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium, with scripting experience considered a plus.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools like JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner for analyzing page load times and conducting stress tests.
- Strong interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance testing workflows, including test case generation, bug triage, and exploratory testing assistance.
- Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and QA best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills for effective bug reporting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and integrating automated tests within them.
- Exposure to accessibility testing is a plus.
