QA Engineer / Software QA

We are seeking a self-driven and responsible QA professional with 1 to 1.5 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will not only execute assigned tasks but also take ownership, proactively identify issues, and follow through to resolution. This role requires a motivated individual who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases for web applications, ensuring thorough coverage of functional, regression, and smoke/sanity testing.
- Identify, document, and report bugs clearly, working closely with developers to understand and resolve issues.
- Take initiative in problem-solving and independently follow up on testing challenges.
- Collaborate effectively within the team, communicating test results and potential risks.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new QA tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Support basic API testing and database validation using SQL queries.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 1.5 years of professional experience in QA or software testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and methodologies.
- Experience testing web applications with knowledge of functional, regression, and smoke/sanity testing.
- Ability to create and execute detailed test cases and clearly report defects.
- Basic understanding of API testing and familiarity with databases and SQL.
- Experience using tools such as Postman, Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail combined with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and QA practices.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Basic knowledge or experience in QA automation is a strong plus but not mandatory. Familiarity with tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks is advantageous.
- Experience writing basic automated test cases and understanding automation concepts and frameworks. API automation knowledge is an additional benefit.
