QA Testing Engineer

We are looking for a skilled QA Testing Engineer with a strong background in software quality assurance to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and automated testing, to help deliver high-quality software products. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively with development and product teams to maintain and improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, scenarios, and plans to thoroughly validate application behavior. Conduct functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing to ensure all features perform as expected. Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects, ensuring timely resolution throughout the development process. Perform API and application testing to confirm alignment with business and technical requirements. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to quickly address and resolve issues. Execute regression testing after new features, bug fixes, and software releases to maintain stability. Establish and enforce quality gates to ensure software meets defined standards before release. Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated testing processes. Monitor and analyze test results, providing clear QA status updates and release-readiness reports. Continuously enhance testing processes and increase automation coverage to contribute to overall product quality improvement.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing is essential. Strong hands-on expertise in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing techniques is required. Proven experience with test automation and familiarity with automation frameworks is necessary. Solid understanding of API testing and various software testing methodologies is expected. Experience using defect tracking and test management tools effectively is important. Comprehensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and QA processes is required. Experience in implementing or working with quality gates and release criteria to maintain software standards is essential. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, particularly Git, is required. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. Candidates must be able to work effectively in an onsite environment based in Karachi.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar technologies is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent platforms is a plus. Background in testing both web and mobile applications will be considered an advantage. Knowledge of performance and security testing is also beneficial.
