QARYAH Foundation seeks a dedicated Community Engagement Officer to foster meaningful connections between the organization and the communities it serves. This role focuses on organizing and executing community outreach initiatives, public relations activities, and programs designed to increase awareness and involvement in social development projects. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in community engagement or nonprofit work, strong communication skills, and a passion for driving positive social impact. They will excel in building relationships with diverse stakeholders and co-creating activities that support community needs while aligning with the foundation's mission.
The Community Engagement Officer plays a vital role in program development by planning and coordinating events and campaigns that encourage public participation. They will manage outreach efforts using social media and traditional platforms to expand the foundations reach. With strong organizational skills, the officer successfully balances multiple projects, ensures smooth execution, and is comfortable working independently or as part of a team. This position requires fluency in English and Urdu and willingness to travel locally for engagement activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies that align with QARYAH Foundations goals.
- Coordinate and manage events, workshops, and campaigns to engage community members and raise awareness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, partners, and stakeholders to foster collaboration.
- Create and deliver public presentations and communications to effectively share program goals and impact.
- Utilize social media and other communication channels to promote community initiatives and increase engagement.
- Assist in program development by gathering and analyzing community feedback and data to improve outreach efforts.
- Organize volunteer activities and support recruitment and management of volunteers.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, engagement metrics, and program outcomes.
- Ensure timely and effective communication internally with the team and externally with community partners.
- Manage multiple tasks with strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Represent QARYAH Foundation at community meetings, events, and external engagements as needed.
- Contribute to report writing and documentation to support grant proposals and donor communications.
- Travel locally to field locations as required to support outreach activities and build relationships.
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
