QC through its field offices enabled itself to strategically address the developmental and humanitarian needs at the very local level. QC is undertaking programmes associated with the socio-economic development of the Country. The projects are categorized under six programme pillars: Youth Leadership & Social Protection, Education, Provision of WASH, Health (with a focus on MNCH), Economic Empowerment & Sustainable Livelihood (EESL) and Disaster Response & Preparedness (DRP), along with its Seasonal Programs like meat distribution, Ramadhan program etc. In Pakistan, Qatar Charity is having its country office in Islamabad and field offices in KPK, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, and AJK.

PROJECT SUMMARY:

With financial support from WFP and under the guidance of IRMNCH&N program of Government of Punjab, Qatar Charity is providing human resource management support for the implementation of BISP Nashonuma Program in selected districts of Punjab. QC is handling the entire cycle of human resource management of BISP Nashonuma Program staff in the selected districts of Punjab, which will include recruiting, performance management and payroll processing etc. Working as a facilitator for IRMNCH program, Qatar Charity’s role is to focus only on the HR functions of the facilitation centers in the targeted districts, wherein IRMNCH&N program and WFP are providing the strategic leadership, operational management, and implementation of the BISP Nashonuma Program.

Job Summary: 

The Anthropometric Assistant (AA) will be based in the assigned Facilitation Centre (FC) and will work as part of a team implementing the BISP Nashonuma Program activities in his/her assigned FC. The Anthropometric Assistant (AA) will provide technical expertise to conduct quality anthropometric measures at the FC on the referral beneficiaries following the initial screening exercise while ensuring efficient and effective workflow. The position holder will be responsible for taking beneficiary anthropometric measurement, handling of anthrophonic tools, and record-keeping. S/he will deeply analyse the health and nutrition evolution of each beneficiary and ensure through the Facilitation Centre Coordinator if any case of SAM, MAM and Acute Malnourished PLWs identified for proper referral of the case to the OTP /TSFP site in case of need for additional treatment. Keeping close coordination with QC country office (program and HR departments) would also be required for this position. The official duty timings will be 08:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday 0830- 13:00 (Hospital general OPD timing) during all working (06) days except for, Sundays and gazetted holidays.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take the anthropometric measurements and ensure proper, clear, and accurate data recording in the BISP Nashonuma Program booklets.
  • Deliver the SBCC session to the registered beneficiaries as desired with help of the video documentary on ANC, PNC, MIYCF child vaccination and use of provided specialized nutritious food -supplements.
  • Ensure that all the anthropometric equipment’s are in working condition. Responsible for proper handling of weighing and measuring equipment. Ensure scales are properly always calibrated and report defects, damage, or loss of equipment to FC Coordinator.
  • Work with the Social Mobilizers to maintain the referral system at community level. To counsel all patients for further follow ups through Social Mobilizers.
  • Play the video on LCD and ensure with support of the centre coordinator that electricity back up is available.
  • Assist the Facilitation Centre Coordinator with technical support in convening meetings and answering questions on topics relevant to the program. Solves beneficiary complaints related to records and admission criteria.
  • Ensure that all program materials are well maintained. And ensure that protocols are strictly followed and implemented.
  • Check the hygiene and strictly follow the SOPs/guidelines during the nutritional assessments and SBCC session.
  • Regularly attend scheduled team meetings at the FC as directed by the Centre Coordinator. And actively participate on workgroups created at the FC to support the Program.
  • Collaborate with health facility Staff for the day-to-day implementation of the BISP Nashonuma Program services by developing new measures and/or maintain existing measures as directed.
  • Make sure reports are accurate and complete.
  • Check the condition of anthropometric materials received or to be sent and verify the accuracy of any previously inventory of the tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports about the admission, discharge, defaulter, graduate absent, etc throughout the program cycle.
  • One to One and group tailored MIYCF counselling sessions to all mothers with children under 24 months.
  • Perform appropriate assessments of IYCF needs and malpractices and do analysis and come up with clear recommendations.
  • Perform the field duties with the team of social organizers whenever required.
  • Any other task assigned/required by the Facilitation Centre Coordinator or the District Programme Coordinator.
